Meet Puppy. She’s from Texas and she’s a brittany spaniel(the same breed of dog we had previously.) Her name is Olivia or Livy for short. Note: Name subject to change. I picked her up from the airport on Friday morning and had to keep her at my apartment until Friday night. I was sitting outside with her when my neighbor approached me. I thought she was going to comment on how cute she was. She did, but she also decided to give me a lot of unsolicited puppy advice. New moms, I really feel for you here since you are probably the number #1 target for unsolicited advice on what to do, or not do, or what you are doing wrong. Another neighbor approached a little later, “He’s so cute.” I thought the pink collar and leash would be a good tip-off that she was in fact, a girl. Again, I feel for you new moms. It’s so awkward to try and correct them. But I give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he’s color blind.
Note: I am patient with the color blind, yes. My grandpa, brother and most of my male cousins on my mom’s side are color blind. #winning genes.
We surprised my parents with her and they love her already. Livy probably has a bad case of “Are you my mother?” but she has a good mom now, I would know.
